Who You Travel with Matters

Who You Travel with Matters

Talking behind someone’s back, or listening to this kind of talk, keeps both talker and listener in perception rather than in truth.

And hurts all three people: talker, listener, and the one being talked about.

If you want truth about someone who’s not present, avoid listening to anyone talk about them.

And instead of speaking unfavorably about others behind their back…

…if you’re upset about what someone has said, done, or how they behaved, address it with them or take it to someone outside of your mutual circle.

Not to vent.

But to solve.

Getting the help needed to develop the courage to politely, compassionately, and responsibly address what needs addressing with the person you’re upset with.

Those who you travel life with should help you get to good places, and vice versa.

If your current group pulls you down to the level of gossip, or they gossip about you, address it with them to see if they’ll change, if not, travel with another group or go solo.

You won’t get to all the good places you want to get to if you try flying with a group that weighs you down.
