When They Call You the Bad Guy
When your kind and truthful words or actions cause somebody to take a look at themselves, in a way they never have before, they will sometimes make you the bad guy.
Do not fault yourself or blame yourself for this. Do not get pulled into the misunderstanding.
Stay strong. Stay true. Stay called to a higher order.
You’re doing what you’re supposed to do. There’s reward in that, someday, somewhere.
If reward never comes, let the reward be that you did what you were called to do. You be’d who you were meant to be.
And keep doing your own good work to cut through your own misunderstandings, without making it about bad guys.
Because there are less bad guys than it seems.
Just many good actors in bad guy suits, immersed in their character….
…inadvertently helping you know yourself more.

I love it when birds look up at the sky…like this finch…and when they look down at the ground.
Both postures create a sense of reflection.
I don’t know whether birds can and do reflect, but people can.
